Designed for beginners, but don’t be fooled, this fun workout is not for the faint hearted!  This is the first in a series of fast paced 3 hour workshops for attendance specifically by Fitness Instructors and Dance Teachers.

 

There are limited spaces available for this workshop (max 8 participants).  There are 4 poles at the studio.

 

This workshop comprises:

 

1. Dance warm up, joint mobilisation and stretch.  (15minutes)

 

2. Introduction to pole work.

 

3. A number of basic transitions and moves, including, but not exclusive to:  ‘The walk’; Body ripple; Body wave; Hip sways; Body Isolations:  Figure eights; Hip circles; Rotations.  (1hour)

 

4. A number of basic spins (both directions), including, but not exclusive to:  Front Hook, Back Hook, Fairy, Swastika Spin, Hook heel spin.  (1 hour)

 

5. And not forgetting:  Fluidity; combining elements.  (30min)

 

6. Warm down and stretch.  (15 minutes).

2. Recapitulation of Pole Dance Workshop 101 moves.  (30 min)

 

3. Introduction to Inversions.  (30min)

 

4. Pole Sit and Climbing.  (15min)

 

5. More transitional elements and sensual moves; including, but not limited to:  Floor work, Pole stroke and standing walk.  (15min)

 

6. Pole dance routine using 2 of the previously learnt routines (1 hour)

 

7. Warm down and stretch.  (15 min)
